Homeschool Program - Maple Sugarbush Season (at Van Raalte Farm Park)
Students will explore the early signs of spring, including bird migrations and emerging wildflowers. They will learn about the parts of a tree and discover how trees produce sap. Participants may have the opportunity to tap a tree or help collect sap for the evaporator. The program concludes with a hands-on look at the evaporation process and a chance to taste the delicious final product!
This drop-off program is geared for home schoolers ages 6 - 12. Please bring a water bottle and a snack.
For ages 6 to 12.
Registration is required. Register and pay for attending children only (except infants).
Guardians do not need to stay with the class.
Fee: $10 per student, 20% discount for members.
